摘要:We present a mathematical model that describes the population dynamics of wood boring beetle that infectate on trees in a residential region and the efficacy of the cut-burn control. The model is a system of integral-delay differential equations. After addressing the well-posedness of the modeo, we establish conditions that can guarantee eradication of the infestcation, in terms of two key parameters, one accounts for the efficiency of detection and the other stands for the efficiency of cut-burn. We also discuss some possible extensions and generalizations of the model.
